We choose to work with cultured diamonds:
1. Ethics: Problems as real and serious as child exploitation end if the illegal diamond trade ends. Our diamonds are not mined, they are generated in a clean and controlled industry, avoiding mistreatment and abuse.
2. Sustainability: Lab diamonds are an environmentally friendly choice as they do not involve land mining or seabed destruction as is happening in Africa.
3. Purity and Quality: Lab diamonds are often purer and have fewer visible inclusions, making them an excellent choice for those who value clarity and gem quality.
Comparison with Natural Diamonds:
The only real difference between the two types of diamonds is their origin. Natural diamonds are formed under extreme geological conditions deep within the Earth, while laboratory diamonds are created in a human-controlled environment. Despite their artificial origin, laboratory diamonds have an identical crystal structure to that of natural diamonds, giving them the same optical and physical properties that make them so valuable. In other words, they are identical.
There are two ways to identify laboratory diamonds:
Carbon-14 emission, a radioactive isotope of carbon used to date archaeological and geological objects.
An identification number engraved in microscopic size into the diamonds themselves, matching the number that is associated with them in their corresponding certificate.
